ABOUT LOGINHOOD:

Loginhood’s mission and business objectives are solely aimed at rewarding users for usage of their data (“Services”). We collect this data through our own website, mobile app and browser Extension.

WHAT DOES LOGINHOOD COLLECT ABOUT ME?

Once a user signs up to Loginhood for our services, we store the user’s email address used for account creation and encrypt it with an anonymized Loginhood ID (“Loginhood ID” or “User ID”). The following data is collected and stored, associated with the anonymous User ID:

  • IP address
  • Cookies from Loginhood’s website
  • Website browsing data
  • Mobile device identifiers
  • Demographic information optionally given during account creation

HOW DOES LOGINHOOD COLLECT IT?

Demographic data

Loginhood stores the demographic data the user has the option to provide upon account creation with the User ID.

Cookie data

Loginhood creates a cookie, a string of data stored in a browser, associated to the new User ID when the user logins into Loginhood’s website.

Website browsing data

Upon installing the extension, Loginhood collects the web pages that the user visits. All data collected is page-level information found in the website’s HTML. No sensitive input data is collected from the page that is not found in the HTML of the website. For example, signing into your bank account will only inform Loginhood that you visited the bank’s website. We will not retrieve or store any information on the page related to your finances. The extension can be turned off at any time by typing chrome://extensions/ into your URL bar and toggling Loginhood off. The extension can also be restricted from any data collection at all by toggling the “Data Collection” button off. This results in the extension only providing its tracker-blocking abilities.

Mobile device identifiers

Upon installing our mobile app, Loginhood collects the user’s mobile device Advertising Identifier, known as IDFA on Apple devices and AAID on Android devices (collectively, “Mobile Ad IDs”). No other data is collected from your mobile device other than the Advertising Identifier.

WHO DO WE SHARE DATA WITH?

Loginhood shares the user’s data to advertisers and advertising agencies (collectively, “Advertisers”) and ad networks, data companies, and advertising tech vendors (“Data Collectors”).

WHY DOES LOGINHOOD SHARE DATA?

Loginhood’s mission is to reward users for their data. To do this, Loginhood creates groups of anonymous User IDs that may be interested in particular products based on their web browsing (“User Groups” or “Segments”). Loginhood shares the anonymous User IDs, cookies and mobile ad IDs with advertisers that compensate the user. Loginhood collects payments from the advertisers and distributes it to the users whose User IDs were used for advertising purposes.

Loginhood will also share data with data collectors to seek compensation from data collectors for using your data. Loginhood will share cookies and mobile ad IDs with data collectors to find any usage of a user’s data and seek compensation. Loginhood collects payment from data collectors and distributes it to the users.

WHAT DATA DOES LOGINHOOD BLOCK?

Loginhood believes that users should always receive proper compensation for their data. Therefore, Loginhood’s technology will always seek to block and remove data collectors who do not work with Loginhood to compensate users. Loginhood will block as many data collectors who do not work with Loginhood as possible, but will not be held responsible if some data collectors remain.

HOW DOES LOGINHOOD SECURE MY DATA?

Loginhood takes significant steps to ensure all data is secured and protected. All website browsing data within the Loginhood platform is encrypted and anonymized. All website browsing data collected is associated to the anonymous User ID. No collected data is associated to any personally identifiable information.
